rFpro has long been used to provide camera sensor feeds for testing ADAS and Autonomous systems in simulation. A recent project, however, required the testing in simulation of a virtual surround sensor with 360 degree vision. Sensors with a field of view in excess of 180 degrees are no longer uncommon, for example the 250...
This model has been rebuilt from a new LiDAR survey, with new graphics and a new TerrainServer HDSurface at 1cm resolution in x,y. Here are a couple of screen-grabs showing the new road surface and kerb details. The model is quite detailed but still manages to achieve 120fps on our reference hardware.
Some photos from our stand on Wednesday afternoon. Thank you to everyone who popped over to say hello.

rFpro have completed another public road model, this one is in the centre of Shanghai and it is already being used for Autonomous testing. The model spans an area containing a wide selection of roads and junctions from dense urban single-carriageway to multi-lane dual carriageway, with very high correlation to the real-world. Visit us at...
In the July issue of RaceTech magazine, Toyota’s TMG describe how, in the run up to this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hour race, the TS050 was tested in the virtual world on their simulator before the car reached the racetrack. For more information, subscribe to racetechmag here
The urban roads were Laser Scanned (LiDAR), with 360deg photography and video. The completed model is shipped with road networks for SUMO (Traffic) and Road5 (IPG CarMaker) as the first customers are making use of the model for ADAS and Autonomous testing, with camera, Radar, LiDAR and Ultrasound sensors as well as for training of...
rFpro Systems Integrators ABD (Anthony Best Dynamics) have released a video with full technical specs for their new driving Simulator. ABD claim their new design to be industry leading in three key areas: greatest excursion capability, highest frequency response, lowest latency. Their new demonstration facility opened for business this week and rFpro staff in attendance...
