Software Developer (Desktop .NET)

Location: Romsey, UK (Hybrid)

  • Salary: £50k-£65k experience dependent
  • Hybrid pattern: minimum onsite requirement every two weeks


Role overview

We are seeking a developer to join our Content Engineering Team who will manage and enhance the tools used by our internal engineering and art teams to deliver high definition, high engineering grade road surfaces, 3D digital model content and functional road network descriptions to our customers.

We currently support and produce functional road network descriptions to allow for real time traffic simulations and experiments in; OpenDrive, SUMO and IPG Road5. Our tool set is a blend of in-house, off the shelf software and plugins, which must always work efficiently with large LiDAR data sets and complex customer requirements.


What will you be doing?

  • Working with a range of internal teams to understand requirements and maintain high standards of delivered content
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and optimization of the associated tools and procedures.
  • Plan and execute application and tool development.
  • Maintaining and developing existing software tools
  • R&D of the existing toolset and shaping the future toolset


What are we looking for?

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Extensive knowledge of C#/.NET, particularly in a desktop environment (.NET4.8, WinForms, WPF, Interop).
  • Development of high-performance applications for computationally intensive tasks
  • Ability to understand and translate mathematical formulas into application routines
  • Ability to work with source control software (branching, merging, resolving conflicts)
